I, myself, went to the Queen Mary in the summer of 2006 with my neices. One of whom is quite prone to temper tantrums. The other, however, is not. While on our tour, in the swimming pool area, they both began screaming at the top of their lungs and had to be taken out by my brother in law. It was extremely odd behavior for both of them to exhibit. We have never heard them scream like that before or since this occasion. My sister and I finished the tour but did not have any other strange things happened. At the end of the tour we were rejoined by my now calm neices and brother in law and were allowed to walk aroung the ship and look at things for ourselves. (With exception of blocked off areas) We were in the doctor area, (I am not sure of the proper term for the area), when my sister and I heard a loud but unmistakable noise coming from a room near the stairs. My brother in law heard nothing. My brother in law thinks that we just scared ourselves. But i truely belive that there are spirits on that ship. They may not be evil. But they are for sure there!

Interesting, again, Lori. Worth thinking about. Are there really loads of orbs around your area?

My grief! Halloween is not far away. I wonder where Priscilla will be for Halloween. She won't have to dress up now will she?
I enjoy this story immensly. There are such wonderful stories about sea faring vessels.

Jane, I saw Ghost Hunters last night. It reminded me of this piece so I re-posted. (Next week they go to Seattle so we'll get to see Anita's neck of the woods).

I agree with you about the orbs. You can't get anywhere more dusty than my apartment (!) but I never get orbs in photos of my place. However, all I have to do is shoot an image of the night SKY around my place and it looks like an snowstorm of orbs. That tells me that the orbs may be balls of energy (not necessarily paranormal--maybe just from all the power lines, etc. ).

Vi, that is an interesting question. If ghosts are just a natural physical manifestation of energy, then I wonder if they can manifest in water..... hmmmm.

I remember reading this before...a fascinating piece. I have heard stories of the Queen Mary and maybe there is some truth to them. Ships are great haunting grounds for unsettled spirits. They contain so many people in what is a relatively small place. When a tragedy occurs, the spirit can't escape. And submarines even more so. I often wonder when I read or see on the TV about divers who explore sunken wrecks. Can spirits survive under water?????

I remember going to the Queen Mary in 1980 - what a huge and beautiful ship she still is. They weren't making as much of the ghosts, then, though. I think the ghost tour (not the Attraction) sounds as though it would be fun. Also, just last night I watched the repeat of the Ghost Hunters trip to the ship. I think it would be neat to see it again sometime and see if, like you, I felt anything anywhere. And I know everyone says that orbs are just dust or pixilated light, but I almost never get them in photos, say around the house, and it can be very dusty here in Wyoming. So you never know...
